Our next event is on

Sunday 27th August 2017

and will feature the musical talents of

Tannara

Converging from across the country, each member of Tannara is entangled within Scotland’s rich web of traditions. Best described as contemporary Scottish folk music: considered, complex, arrangements that surround original tunes, modern tunes and traditional ballads. Expect raw energy that brings booming sets of tunes and songs together with moments of knot-in-stomach beauty. This electrifying live act was nominated for the “Up and Coming Artist of the Year” award at the 2016 Scots Trad Music Awards.

Support will be from

Tilly Moses

Tilly's passionate and poignant song writing, over delicate finger-picked mandolin and the expansive layers of sound from the harmonium, combine with a deep and strong voice which conveys great emotional depth. Her songs range from powerful protest songs, to gentle love songs; from songs of struggles with mental illness, to songs about the beauty of nature. Tilly will be joined by a stellar lineup of musicians.

This event will be out in the garden so bring layers!

Tickets are selling out fast, so make sure you book soon to avoid disappointment.

WHAT IS FOLK AT THE FROIZE?

Folk at the Froize is a monthly event which takes place in the heart of the Suffolk countryside, close to the Heritage Coast in a place called Chillesford. David Grimwood, owner of the Froize, wants to bring together two of his passions in one evening: gorgeous music and fabulous food (all locally sourced of course).

We are hoping to support the UK music scene, both locally and nationally. We plan on bringing you artists that you may or may not have had the opportunity to hear before, that we think are simply wonderful. Don’t be fooled by the name … it’s not just about Folk music. ‘Folk’ covers such a broad spectrum of musical styles these days, and we plan on finding some real gems!

ALSO COMING UP AT FOLK AT THE FROIZE
